Mad Trader is a FREE listing service for classified ads.

The site was started by a local living in Madison County Alabama that was frustrated with some of the features (or lack of) on some other online trading services.

This site allows you the ability to filter through some of the items posted, unlike some mailing lists. However, it also is monitored by locals to try to avoid the spam posts of some other web sites. Keep in mind that when working with local people you can often avoid the hassles of shipping items, especially large bulky items like a couch or freezer.

Nothing. The site is completely free for locals to use. The hosting of the site is paid for by the ad banners at the top of the screen that advertise other local companies. There are no fees to create your account, sell an item, buy an item or make a posting.

Free is for posting items or services that will be given away. If you do not want anything in return for whatever you are listing, post it here.

Trade is for items or services that you would like to receive something in return for. This usually implies you wish to receive money in return, but if you're willing to accept some other kind of trade please note that in the description.

Community is for events in the local area. This might include announcing the opening of a local farmers market, swap meet, or a downtown festival.

Website is intended for promoting thought and discussion about website features. This allows an area for users to give their opinion about features and regulations of the site, and for others to offer their rebuttle if they disagree.
